It's a long story. But I suppose the short of it is we are in constant opposition to the borisin, who have always thought it was prudent to keep my people as slaves. My General hunts borisin, and brings our people home. I have always admired her, and assisted to the best of my capabilities.

[sarkazm]

... you know, I think I'd really like your General. Sounds like my kind of leader.

You would, yes. She'd adore you.

[ he's fond, but also sort of like Tired about it ]

Years ago, she found a boy in the remains of an enemy camp she'd dismantled. In order to get him to come with her so she could look after him, she promised to let him try to assassinate her whenever he wanted, as long as he followed her orders.
