When I fought General Jing Yuan, I felt emotions I haven't felt in years. Anger, mostly, towards the end. Extreme wrath, and an extreme pride, a reluctance to lose the overrode everything else. I could not stop myself from killing him.

Jing Yuan is known for his relaxed nature. He's often scolded for sleeping in. That, I feel, is not so far from apathy. He told me that he didn't much care about the affairs of the Xianzhou Alliance, the night before he died. It struck me as strange then. And even moreso now.
My emotions have been manipulated frequently, here. If it wasn't mara... then, I wonder - do you think something is attempting to sabotage our redemption by amplifying our most sinful emotions?
[ He listens along and there's a faint aura of discomfort as Jiaoqiu says that. Those black marks over him grow and shift subtly, more colours joining the mixture. Off-white, for starters, as jagged sharp teeth pull through the void in a bared grimace.
Marcoh himself looks just as grim, crossing his arms over his chest and over the teeth. ]

[ ear flick, as he glances up at marcoh. at the marks, frowning slightly at the way they spread. almost as if in retaliation, his hair slowly creeps in white. ]
Apathy and boredom, at their worst. [ extensions of sloth, perhaps, ]

Also he's just. Blissfully free of weird effects so he just thinks JQ is still talking about the execution. ]
If things can freely change how you feel, and make it worse, then...

I'd like to see how it turns out, yes. And if it seems like it could be correct, I may bring it to the angels for them to ponder.

I assume most will be more interested in finding Adolphe's killer, but it may be good to look for both, in case one is someone who craved and apple, and the other is possibly... altered.
