[ that is sufficient for jiaoqiu he just wants to know that there's at least ONE person other than marcoh's sister that was nice to him in his home world, ]
Good. At least someone was.
[ a beat. ]
Oh - I wanted to tell you about something, by the way.
[ lets him plant, taking a second to rest his eyes. ]
I had a dream a few nights ago. Now, it may be nothing - I'm no prophet, and of course, with all of the little fun things creeping around, like something to make people fall in love with each other or something that allows you to spy on conversations, it very well could have been done to lift my spirits.
[ there's a little like 💢 emotion to this sentence but it's fine ]
In this dream, Charlie, Jing Yuan, Adolphe, Brimstone, and Hawke were standing in a red and gold hotel, talking to each other about how they were disappointed their phones had no reception. They seemed healthy, and their chao were with them. At the very end of this, Jing Yuan looked up at me specifically, waved, and smiled. I then woke up.
[ his ear flicks. ]
It seemed so very vivid. There were others standing around as well - but I could not make out who they were.
Another time, then. [ ... ] For now, let's take at least a little relief in the idea that our lost friends may be closer than we thought. It's no good for the body or the mind to continue on an empty stomach, so to speak.

But they do keep saying that the souls are not lost. They just went somewhere they cannot trace. Their bodies too, they think it has gone to join the rest.
[ Sucks to never have anything to bury, but. ]
If there is even a chance they are there to find, I will fight for it.
That is what Gamaliel has told me - that they are only lost, not removed entirely. She floated the possible idea of corruption, but she couldn't confirm that, either.
[ a sigh. ]
... I'm with you, Marcoh. I would like to do anything I can in order to give them the second chance they were offered.

[ he also doesn't say a name unless he's very, very sure who is approaching. as we all know, footsteps correlate to how tall you are ]

Come here and help me put new life into the ground. It'll counteract a little of the death that weighs on us.

[ Okay, he's coming by. He doesn't know a whole lot about gardening, but... ]
What do I have to do?

You dig a small hole, first. Here. [ hands him a mini shovel. ] Not too deep, and not too close to the other sprouts.
no subject
Then seeds?
no subject
Then seeds. You cover them, and then water them. Everything else is up to nature.

[ He covers the seeds with dirt and pats it down a bit. ]
Sounds like something Olivia would say.

[ a little tail swish. ]
Olivia?

It sounds like they're well.
[ Which would be a good thing, if it were true. ]
Do you think it was just a dream?
[ Or it means something? ]
no subject
[ a little shrug. ]
And if I were to do so, I doubt I'd be able to conjure up such a specific hotel. Still, I hate to jump to conclusions, so for now... I'm on the fence.
