Just Jiaoqiu is alright. Or Jiao, if you'd prefer. [ just a touch more gently. ] I was. It reminded me a little of being back on the Yaoqing. Moze would love it.
[ slowly, trying to make sure he's pronouncing it right this time. "jiao" is maybe a little too friendly for someone so much older and wiser, at least for now. ]
It's kind of funny how some things are the same in different places. Mr. Zhongli was telling me how the flowers are similar, but I didn't even think about the music. [ fascinated... there are whole other worlds outside his tower that he could've never dreamed of. ] That's a friend of yours from home? Moze?
[ re: the pronunciation. that's genuine, he's not trying to be a shit. as for the rest, he leans a little against the machine, wincing slightly. ]
It's remarkable to me to know that some things are consistent across the universe. But yes, Moze is a friend of mine. Or rather, a co-worker that I'm a little too fond of.
[ he can say this now that he's dead because moze will never hear it!! haha!! ]
He does, yes, though you'd never guess by looking at him. [ a hum. ] He's a very quiet man. Tall, dark, and brooding. Some find him frightening, but he has center made of mochi.
He's a good man, and an excellent warrior to have at your back.
[ fully believing this: ] Seems like we've got a bunch of people here who don't mind cleaning here... And we've needed it. But it's not the same as having someone you know, is it?
[ guy has not yet pieced together that the hsrs are canonmates ]
No... I don't think they make it in the Tower. It's not spicy, is it?
[ you're all so old what's retirement age on the yaoqing ]
I don't mind waiting. [ may as well! he'll hold the door for jiaoqiu on the way out, then. ] They make all kinds of foods in the Tower, but I've never heard of rice cakes. They usually just have, like, fruit or regular cake for sweets, or ice cream in summertime.
Never heard of that, either. And those aren't the only things we have, just the easiest to find. They keep saying we shouldn't have too many sweets, anyway.
I've always lived there, yeah. It's technically a correctional facility for demiflora - but it's just a place where we can live like normal people, without having to worry about spawncampers chasing us down.
...But it sounds like most of you don't need places like that.

Ahh. [ wheeze. okay. ] No, no, that's... alright. I was apparently too concentrated. Hello.

[ sorry he's probably pronouncing that wrong. he's trying. ]
It looked like you were having fun, though.

there's a slight frown at the wince, but jiaoqiu just carries on like normal... maybe it's fine? ]
And they like music, too? [ curious. ] What're they like?

What's mochi?

[ ok, tsun ]
You've never had it? I wonder if I could make it here. It is a rice cake, with various fillings, usually sweet.

I'd prefer less people I know to be here. [ a beat. ] And no, it's not spicy! To think I left such a mark.
The Tower?
no subject
I think anyone would agree... [ wait ] Wait, you know someone here? Yves said he did, too.
The Tower's where I grew up. If it's not spicy, could I try it if you make some? I'm a little curious about it.

[ he kind of perks up at this though!! ]
Of course. Would you like to try it now? I'd like it if you'd tell me a little about your home in exchange, if you find this an amenable deal.
no subject
[ whoa they still have those out there huh. militias and stuff. ]
...You have stuff to make it with? [ which is to say, yes, of course he'll try it now. ] And yeah, sure - whatever you want to know.

But yes, the kitchen is well stocked. It may take a while, but what else do we have but time to pass?

[ so kind of like forced retirement,,,
in any case, he wanders out when the door is held open, folding his arms behind his back. ]
It has a consistency similar to boba, though - if you only have cake and ice cream as references, I suppose boba is out of the question.

[ shakes his head and follow him out. ]
